Résumé This Regulation applies to the solid biomass used to generate electricity in accordance with the Renewable Energy Sources Act of 2014, fuels that are used in systems with a total rated thermal output of 20 megawatts or more. Further, the gaseous biomass fuels used to generate electricity in systems with a total rated thermal output of 2 megawatts or more. There is an entitlement to payment for electricity from liquid biofuels and biomass fuels. The Regulation provides also for requirements for agricultural biomass, forest biomass and greenhouse gas savings. Issuance of sustainability certificate is required for production of liquid biofuels and electricity generation from biomass fuels. The Regulations verifies certification body, content and form of sustainability certificates and consequences for missing or insufficient information.
