Résumé

This Notice of the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, made under section 19 of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008, sets out in the Schedule the list of national standards that apply to the recovery of motor vehicles. The standards shall apply to facilities that fall within the treshold as prescribed in paragraph 4. The standards concern, among other things: construction and design of the facility, solid waste management (including handling of contaminated soil), liquid waste management, decommissioning and general requirements for the operation of a facility and waste management. The standards also contain monitoring and reporting requirements.
