The standards shall apply to facilities that fall within the treshold as prescribed in paragraph 4. The standards concern, among other things: construction and design of the facility, solid waste management (including handling of contaminated soil), liquid waste management, decommissioning and general requirements for the operation of a facility and waste management. The standards also contain monitoring and reporting requirements.
