Résumé The present Agreement - made under section 35 of the Constitution of Canada - is a basic document that lays out the governing power of each of the 5 Maa-nulth First Nations. Each of the five nations has their own constitution . This means that they have the authority to enact laws and govern themselves. The law-making powers include lands and land management, such as land ownership, land registration, expropriation, sub surface ownership, protection of land base, submerged land, watershed land.
