Résumé

This Law establishes the State Council for Indigenous Peoples (Cepin), a collegiate, consultative, deliberative and supervisory body, as an integral part of the organizational structure of the Secretariat of Indigenous Peoples (Sepin). Cepin aims to enable and ensure the participation of indigenous peoples in the processes of deliberation, implementation and monitoring of their public policies within the State of Ceará, without prejudice to the provisions of Convention No. 169 of the International Labour Organization (ILO), promulgated by Brazil through Federal Decree No. 5.051 of 19 April 2004, repealed by Decree No. 10.088 of 5 November 2019.
