"Fish" is defined as "any fish, including shell fish and crustaceans, and aquatic animals, and any parts, products or by-products of them" (sect. 1). Powers of inspectors, including seizure, detention and disposal of fish and containers are set out in sections 6 and 8. The Lieutenant Governor in Council may issue regulations on the following matters, inter alia: (a) fish marketing standards; (b) handling, processing, storing, grading, packaging, marking, transporting, marketing and inspection of fish, including licence requirements for such activities; (c) quality and specifications for containers and the marking and inspection of containers; (d) requirements for the equipment and sanitary operation of establishments, vehicles, etc. used in fishing or the marketing of fish (sect. 10).
