Entry into force notes

This Federal Law enters into force one year after the date of its official publication.

Résumé

This Federal Law establishes that bioethanol (ethanol-blended fuel) shall be considered denatured ethyl alcohol (denatured alcohol), which is made from alimentary and (or) non-alimentary raw materials of vegetable origin whose denaturation is subject to requirements provided for by article 10 (1) of this Federal law, and which contains not more than 1 percent of water. Manufacturing of bioethanol (ethanol-blended fuel) by a separate production facility of an enterprise using the main technological equipment for the manufacturing of ethyl alcohol (except for manufacturing of ethyl alcohol from non-alimentary raw materials) shall be prohibited. Manufacturing of ethyl alcohol and bioethanol (ethanol-blended fuel) shall require issuance of separate licenses.
