The objectives of the present Act are, inter alia, to make available to the people of Austria high quality electricity at a reasonable price; to continue to increase the big part of renewable energy in the Austrian energy production; to take into consideration the safety of the production, the guarantee of supply, and above all the environmental compatibility. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed such as “production”, “independent producers”, “transmission”, “distribution”, “client”, “ultimate consumer”, “net”’.
