Unit (joint) quotas for trawling fleets are designed to contribute and adjust quota resources and operation range of single vessels. Yearly quotas for fishing for cod, haddock and coalfish may be divided into unit quotas in accordance with article 3. Article 4 concerns cooperation between ship owners, whereas articles 5 and 6 establish which ship owners are eligible for the allocation of unit quotas.
