The Regulations, among other things: set out that each district council within its district is the competent authority for the purposes of Article 5(1) and (2) of the Commission Regulation; make District Councils responsible for enforcement of the Regulation; require food business operators to keep records for 12 months from the end of the calendar year to which each record relates; apply certain provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990.
