The Act specifies that foods not meeting certain husbandry standards must be appropriately labeled, including categories such as barn, barn+outdoor access, free-range, and pasture-raised. The labeling must be easily accessible, complete, clear, and incur no additional costs for the consumer. Additionally, the law regulates labeling for food sold remotely and for non-prepackaged items, requiring labeling on the remote sale medium or easily accessible and permanently available for remote sales, and on a sign or in close proximity for non-prepackaged items. Violations of labeling regulations can result in fines. The Law consists of 43 Articles divided into 6 Parts and has 11 Appendixes. Texte intégral Allemand Site web www.gesetze-im-internet.de
