This Act also provides rules for organic agricultural production. The Region will establish a list of organic producer, control their activity and will give a financial contribution. In order to consider a product an organic product the organic farming techniques indicated in EC Regulation No. 2092/91 of 24 June 1991 and subsequent amendments shall be used. Animal products shall be kept in breeding plants that contemplate the freedom of movement of the animals and the application of the animal welfare standards. Further the Act provides specific regulation for honey organic production and for the methods to be used in the health checks.
