Entry into force notes

The Decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Resumen

Fishing with dragnets shall be allowed until 31 May 2010 in compliance with paragraphs 1 and 2 of article 14 to Council Regulation (EC) No. 1967/2006 concerning management measures for the sustainable exploitation of fishery resources in the Mediterranean Sea and according to the provisions of article 1, paragraph 2 and article 3, paragraph 3 of Presidential Decree No. 817/1966 regarding the mesh size and minimum distance of the nets from the coastline. Also, with this Decree fishing with dragnets shall be prohibited within the entire national territory as from 1 April until 30 September yearly. The Decree also lays down certain standards for this fishing gear. Provisions regarding dragnets under article 10 of the Fishery Code are still in force.
