Regulation 4 concerns the classification of dietary food for special medical purposes. Regulation 16 now reads: “Without prejudice to Regulations 13, 14 and 15, before the European Communities (Dietary Foods for Special Medical Purposes) Regulations, 2001 are added to Schedule 1 of the service contract entered into by a health board or the Eastern Regional Health Authority, and the Food Safety Authority under the Act of 1998, the powers contained in Regulations 18 to 22 may be exercised by an authorised officer appointed under Regulation 17 for the purposes of ensuring compliance with these Regulations".
