Resumen Article 2 prohibits the preparation of or placing on the market of specified meat and meat products that do not comply with requirements regarding their composition laid down by the present Decree. No other products may be offered for sale with the labeling indications reserved for products covered by the present Decree. Products shall also meet requirements specified in article 12 regarding denomination of meat as low-fat meat or low-fat minced meat. Article 3 restricts the use of bones, blood, entrails, and other parts of animals in the production of meat products. Other provisions regard the content of starch, contain labeling requirements and indicate certain methods of analysis as approved methods.
