Resumen

The Decree prohibits for 2011 in general the fishing by Norwegian vessels for plaice in marine areas comprising the area of the Norwegian EEZ which is limited by straight lines as specified, the EU zone in ICES area IV and the Skagerrak limited by a straight lines as specified. However, it allows a total catch by Norwegian vessels of 159 tons in the Skagerrak and 4.538 tons in the North Sea of which part may be caught by vessels with conventional gear and part by trawl vessels. Single vessels of this group may fish specified quotas. Remaining provisions concern powers of the Director of Fisheries, including the power to stop fishing and to cancel group quotas, and penalties.
