Chain saw milling permits shall be issued for operations only in Community forests and private or deeded forest land. The area must be identified by the FDA as suitable for commercial use and validated in accordance with the National Forestry Reform Law of 2006. A permit holder must receive both a written permission from the FDA and the Free Prior Informed Consent of the community in community forest areas or the private land owner.
