The object of the Regulation is to set the terms and conditions for authorizations for the withdrawal of water, as provided for in section 31.75 of the afore-mentioned Act Act, and to prescribe certain standards for water withdrawals, water withdrawal facilities and facilities or activities that may affect the quality of water withdrawn in the vicinity. It ensures, in particular, the protection of water withdrawn for human consumption or food processing purposes.
