The Authority shall: (a) license warehouses, warehouse keepers and warehouse inspectors; (b) issue negotiable warehouse receipts books; and (c) to carry out and perform such other functions as are conferred or imposed on it by this Act or Regulations made under this Act. The Act also provides for warehoused goods that are about to deteriorate or decline in value or may pose a hazard to be sold at the Uganda Agricultural Commodities Exchange.
