Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 42 of the Veterinary Act concern the professional conduct of enrolled Paraprofessional and enlisted Paraprofessional Assistant. They also set out certain obligations of these veterinary professional professionals in respect to animal disease control and meat inspection. Obligations concern disease prevention and control, diagnosis and research of diseases and medical records. Any Paraprofessional or Paraprofessional Assistant shall carry out meat inspections and other duties under the relevant abattoir legislation. Paraprofessional or Paraprofessional Assistant shall have an obligation to supervise the disposal of a carcasses found unfit for human consumption.
