The Council shall be the sole authority for: (a) effecting registration, enrolment and enlistment under this Act; and (b) monitoring the performance of veterinarians Veterinary specialists, Paraprofessionals and Paraprofessionals Assistants. It shall also, among other things, determine the minimum standards for veterinary practice facilities under this Act. Veterinarians, animal health workers and veterinary practice facilities shall be registered with the Registrar of the Council. The Act sets out rules for the professional conduct by persons to which this Act applies.
