Abstract The aim of this Regulation is to define maximum levels for contaminants that are found in foodstuffs. The Regulation covers limits for nitrates, mycotoxins, heavy metals, 3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol, dioxins, dioxin like polychlorinated biphenyls, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and erucic acid. This Regulation is drafted in accordance with European Parliament and Council Regulation No. 1881/2006/EC.
