This Regulation enters into force on the day it is published in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The purpose of this Regulation is to ensure consumer and human health and consumer rights. This Regulation sets forth provisions on the list of approved substances to be used in or on food and update of these lists, risk assessment procedures, and scientific opinion. This Regulation has been drafted in line with the Commission Regulation (EU) No 234/2011 of 10 March 2011 implementing Regulation (EC) No 1331/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a common authorization procedure for food additives, food enzymes and food flavourings.
