Abstract

These Regulations made under section 17 of the Tobacco (Control and Marketing) Act 1967, provide rules for activities of sponsors of tobacco growers and the relationship between such sponsors and tobacco growers. The Commissioner for Marketing shall keep a register of (a) any person who is engaged in sponsoring growers in the growing of tobacco; (b) tobacco buyers; (c) tobacco processors; and (d) tobacco exporters, and no person shall carry out any of these activities without a valid registration certificate.
