Abstract

The Strategic Framework for Climate Policy (QEPiC) sets out the vision and objectives of National climate policy up to 2030, combining various instruments and measures to be implemented. Among the strategic objectives of the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 (PDR), it establishes the "Promoting efficient management and protecting measures of resources that contributes to the Priority 5" - "promoting resource efficiency and supporting the shift towards a low carbon economy and resistant climate change in the agricultural, food and forestry sectors". The PDR identifies the need to continue to improve Energy Efficiency and promote the use/production of renewable energy on the farm and use for energy purposes of agricultural and forestry by-products. The PDR also includes the measurement A3: Environment, resource efficiency and climate.
