Abstract

This Order, made in pursuance of Articles 2(4B) and 29 of the Sea Fisheries (Jersey) Law 1994 specifies the close season for spider crabs as required by Regulations 5 and 5A of the Sea Fisheries (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Jersey) Regulations 1998. The specified area of the territorial sea for the purposes of Regulation 5A(1) (area in which use of passive gear is restricted) is the area which would be bounded by lines drawn – (a) in the sequence set out in the Schedule; and (b) between and by reference to the co-ordinate points also set out in the Schedule and determined in accordance with the World Geodetic System 1984.
