To conserve the environment for future generations, nature and its landscape, being the living space of human beings, shall be protected in such a way as to secure in the long run its integrity, capability of regeneration and sustainable use, as well as to ensure the conservation of flora and fauna and living spaces, including its beauty and recreation value. The present Law consists of 56 articles divided into 12 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Environment survey, landscape planning (II); General protection of nature and landscape (III); Protection, care and development of certain parts (IV); European Net “Natura 2000” (V); Protection and care of wild living animals (VI); Recreation in nature and landscape (VII); Participation of third parties (VIII); Competent authorities, proceedings (IX); Completing provisions (X); Penalties (XI); Transitional and final provisions (XII).
