Abstract This Resolution approves the Statute of the Mining Geology Institute (IGM). The Statute, consisting of 5 Chapters, specifies composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to perform prospections and research on mineral resources within the National territory, to investigate and disseminate technologies adding value to mineral resources sustainably, orientate, conduct and carry out research, training and technical-scientific training and promote mining. It also provides for services and technical and technological assistance to public and private entities, in geological and mining field, which also regulates system, structure and functions of organizational units (including revenues and expenses).
