Abstract

These Regulations, made by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries under section 15 of the Agricultural Product Standards Act, 1990, require consignments of tree nuts to be approved before exportation by the officer designated under section 2(1) of the Act. "Tree nuts" are cashew nuts, hazel nuts, walnuts, pecan nuts and macadamia nuts. Appeal against a decision or direction of an inspector may be had with an appeal board in accordance with section 10 of the Act.
