Abstract These Regulations, implementing provisions of the Forestry and Wildlife Conservation and Development Proclamation, grant the power to the Minister of Agriculture to issue permits for the harvesting of dead wood and forest products and to process forestry products for commercial purposes, the cutting of living trees for domestic purposes, the clearing of land for agricultural purposes and the transportation, importation or exportation of forest products. The Regulations further specify the contents of an application for a permit and specify conditions for a permit to clear land or to import or export forestry products. Exportation of forestry products falling within the scope of CITES shall not permitted under these Regulations.
