Abstract This Regulation which implements provisions of the Nature Protection Act of 1923 remains in force under the Nature Protection Act of 1996 which repeals the 1923 Act. As a general rule the state nature protection areas shall be in the ownership of the Forestry Agency (sect. 1). The Ministry of the Environment shall decide in matters of acquisition of areas for nature protection purposes (sect. 2). The Forestry Agency can appoint a Delegated Commission for matters concerning a national park. In such commission representatives of local authorities, scientific organizations or the habitants of the area may take place (sect. 3). Further directives for the implementation of the present Regulation shall be issued by the Ministry of the Environment (sect. 4).
