Abstract The Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of 28 paragraphs and three Annexes, establishes: (1) detailed requirements for individual types of underground dumps of wastes concerning localization, exploitation and closure; (2) scope, way and conditions of monitoring of underground dumps of wastes; (3) types of wastes which can be stored in unselective way; (4) criteria and procedures of permitting wastes to underground dumps of wastes. The localization of the underground dump is selected on the basis of results included in the hydrogeological and geotechnical documentation, specifying conditions describing selected geological formations and concerning dumping of the selected types of wastes.
