Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons, determines the implementation of works and tests aimed at determining the possibility of permanent disposal of carbon dioxide in geological structures and the conditions of exploitation and effective permanent disposal of carbon dioxide in geological structures. This text also transposes into the legal order of the Republic of Croatia the Directive 2009/31/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the geological storage of carbon dioxide.
