Abstract This Regulation prescribes the terms of what is defined as systematic monitoring over the effective presence of residues in animals and products of animal origin, including the necessary conditions and manner for the correct implementation of such measures, official control issues, conditions and manner of taking, temporary keeping/transport and storage of samples taken, and further determines the data/record keeping rules, and procedures to be undertaken in case of presence of a higher (than maximum allowed) quantity of certain residue in live animals and/or their deriving products (food and foodstuff).
