Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 18 articles, establishes the tasks of monitoring and forecasting of pests and professional tasks in the field of plant health, an area of public service health care of plants, personnel and space requirements, conditions for equipment, conditions and methods of financing public service, and public service reporting. Public service is performed in the Republic of Slovenia in the areas defined in the Annex. The tasks of the public service are: (1) public service activities in the field of observation and forecasting of harmful organisms; (2) technical tasks in the field of plant health, including specialized laboratory tests of plants, plant products and other objects; (3) other commercial activities that are directly related to the provision of public services.
