This Regulation shall enter into force on 19 September 1997.
Abstract

This Regulation contains requirments for the registration of new plant and seed varieties, as well as for the issuance of the production permits. Representatives of the Registration Committee, which shall be responsible for the registration of plant varieties, shall be elected from the General Directorate of Protection and Controlling of Seed Varieties, General Directorate of Agricultural Research, General Directorate of Agricultural Production and Development from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, faculties of agriculture, public agricultural research agencies, Registration and Certification Center for Seeds, a private seed agency (selected by the Association of Seed Industry), and a farmer selected by the Union of Agricultural Chambers of Turkey. Administrative procedures and duties of this committee are given in detail.
