Abstract The Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of ten paragraphs and one Annex, establishes detailed criteria for the classification of facilities for disposal of mining waste. The following criteria are used for the classification: (1) foreseen effects of accidents which may cause serious risk of death, serious risk to human health or serious risk to the environment; (2) hazardous waste contained in deposited waste; (3) hazardous substances or mixtures contained in deposited waste.
