Abstract

The purpose of this Regulation is to prevent production, preparation, importation and placing on the market of products of animal origin, including fish products, that contain residues of prohibited substances, polluting substances and veterinary preparations that do not comply with limit values established in order to public health and quality. Section 4 provides for self-control in milk production, whereas section 6 to 9 concern measures regarding fish farming including storage and use of prohibited substances and again self control. Public measures include sampling and marking of slaughter animals, etc.
