Abstract This Regulation sets out requirements for the treatment of animals which are destined to slaughter. As a general rule, the animals shall be treated so as to avoid unnecessary suffering or pain. It covers the slaughtering of all animals. The State Food Control Office shall issue permits for the establishment of slaughterhouses with specific requirement for equipment used and qualifications of persnnel involved in slaughtering activities.
