Abstract The Regulation sets guidelines to promote the development and labelling of energy-related products. It also establishes product-specific rules regarding the information to end users, particularly in terms of labeling and standard product information on energy-related products' use of energy and other essential resources, in order for the users are given the opportunity to better choose more efficient products. These regulations also aim to ensure the free movement of energy-related products within the European Economic Area (EEA). Supervision for the adherence to these regulations shall be borne by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate.
