Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of paragraphs 152 (4) and 153 (4) of the Water Act, establishes the requirements for increasing the extent of the water intake protection area and the procedure for designating the drinking water intake feeding area and the requirements for the water intake protection area project in order to ensure protection of groundwater, surface water and water intake. The Regulation consists of eight sections: Scope of regulation (1); General requirements (2); Determination of extent of sanitary protection area (3); Calculation of extent of sanitary protection area of groundwater intake (4); General requirements for sanitary protection area project (5); Explanatory note for sanitary protection area project (6); Drawings of sanitary protection area project (7); and Procedure for determination of supply area (8).
