The purpose of the Regulation is to lay the foundation for increased prevention of animal diseases. The Regulation specifies what information should be registered by veterinarians in the data system called "Heilsa" (www.bufjarheilsa.is), as well as the timeframes for doing so. The Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority shall be responsible for the management of electronic data management system Heilsa.
