Abstract This Decree has been drafted to contribute to the sustainability of animal husbandry activities, to protect the breeder and the consumer, to prevent price fluctuations in the market and to regulate the meat market within the scope of public interest. The slaughtering and sales of cattle shall be done within the framework of the criteria to be determined by the Directorate General of Meat and Milk Board. Information on slaughtered animals and their breeders shall be submitted to the General Directorate of Livestock under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and the Ministry allocates grant payments to these breeders in terms of the number of slaughtered animals after controlling the meat quality.
