The Decree shall enter into force on 20 November 2005 except for the provisions of articles 14 (sanctions) which shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.

With the present Decree are a) established the animal health rules for the importation into and transit through the country of certain live ungulate animals and b) modified the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 528/1991 and those of Presidential Order No. 184/1996, in compliance with Council Directive 2004/68/EC.
