Abstract

These Regulations lay down provisions applicable to port reception facilities for ship-generated waste and cargo residues. The purpose is to reduce the discharges of ship generated waste and cargo residues into the sea, thereby enhancing the protection of the marine environment. These provisions apply to all ships including fishing vessels and recreational craft, irrespective of their flag, calling at any port or terminal in Malta.
