Abstract

This Order amends the Plant Health (England) Order 2015 to implement Community legislation concerning measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Union of pests and diseases affecting plants. Amendments concern, among other things, powers of an officer for Revenue and Customs, approved places of inspection within the meaning of the Customs Code (defined), plant pests which may not be introduced into or spread within England, (relevant material from a third country for which a phytosanitary certificate may be required and prohibitions on the consignment of relevant material to another part of the European Union without a plant passport.
