At the outset the Ordinance contains the definition of "water for human consumption" and "water for use in particular circumstances", and "competent authorities". Article 3 establishes that water has to fulfil the requirements of Annex I and, moreover, to be suitable for human consumption without any danger to human health; Annex IV indicates the substances which may be used for the processing of water. Article 4 lists the duties of the water processing plants; first of all, the premises have to be properly mantained so that no danger incurs to the processing of potable water; registers will have to be kept. The following article lists the surveying tasks of the competent authorities. Finally, article 6 concerns the use of water for special purposes. The Ordinance consists of 6 articles and 4 Annexes.
