Abstract

The present Ordinance is made under the Federal Fishing Act of 21 June 1991, the Cantonal Fishery Law of 4 May 1997 and the Ordinance on fisheries of 12 November 1997. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the correct and efficient implementation of the federal and cantonal fishing legislation. The text - consisting of 19 articles – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: sphere of application, competent cantonal fishing authority, fishing gear, protected fish species, bans on fishing, closed season, catch figures.
