Entry into force notes
This Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 1993, when the Ordinance (1977:642) on the Extent of the Swedish Fishery Zone shall be repealed.
Abstract

This Decree defines the extent of the Sweden's exclusive economic zone, which comprises certain sea areas beyond the limit of Sweden's territorial waters in the Baltic, Aland Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia. The sections where the border for Sweden's exclusive economic zone coincides with the Swedish territorial border are governed separately in statutes regarding Sweden's territorial waters and Sweden's national borders. The National Maritime Administration shall ensure that the outer limit of Sweden's exclusive economic zone is marked on sea charts available to the public.
