Abstract

An Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Resources to implement the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 589/2008 laying down detailed rules for implementing Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 as regards marketing standards for eggs. The quality and weight grading of eggs have to be indicated in all invoices and other related documents according to article 2. Furthermore, the text - consisting of 12 articles -deals with the following matters: sphere of application, documents for transportation, publicity, markets, marking and packing of eggs, authorization of production, authorization of packaging centres, duty to report, penalties and transitional provisions.
